Double Wall Maine Cedar Hot Tub

Traditional Soak – Modern Technology

Overview

Double Wall Insulated Hot Tubs are designed to provide a traditional, deep-soaking experience while using minimal energy to maintain water temperature. With an R-value of over 22 for tubs with a Natural Cedar inner vessel and 25 for our Cold-Molded version, these tubs are built to hold heat and stay warm, even in colder climates.

Each cedar hot tub is custom-made to order based on the customers preferences and installation plans. From the size and seating layout to the heating system, wood species, and finishing details, every element is carefully considered and handcrafted with precision.

This made-to-order approach allows us to create tubs that not only fit seamlessly into their surroundings but also reflects the personal style of the people who use them. No two tubs are exactly alike, each hot tub is a reflection of intentional design, exceptional materials, and true craftsmanship.

A Striking Blend of Craftsmanship and Innovation

Cold-Molded Inner Vessel

Cold-Molded Hot Tubs are built using a boatbuilding technique that combines the warmth of natural cedar with the strength and waterproofing of epoxy. The inner vessel is carefully assembled and fully encapsulated with a crystal-clear epoxy coating. This not only seals the wood from moisture but also enhances the natural beauty of the cedar.

A smooth, seamless interior highlights the rich grain and color variations of the wood while offering unmatched durability. Owners can also personalize their tub’s appearance by choosing details like veining color, seat materials, and floor finish.

Once the cold-molded inner vessel is complete, it is finished with the same exterior design as our single wall tubs including a handcrafted natural cedar cap-rail, an outer cedar wall in your choice of species and finish, and three recessed polished stainless-steel bands with custom turnbuckles.

The result is a luxurious soaking tub that offers the aesthetic appeal of a traditional cedar tub with the added resilience and refinement of modern epoxy construction.

Natural Cedar Inner Vessel

Our Natural Double Wall Hot Tubs are built for purists who love the timeless look, feel, and scent of cedar and want a truly traditional soaking experience. Each one is handcrafted beginning with a beautifully constructed cedar inner vessel outfitted with bi-level seating tailored to the owner’s preference, an interior light, and a stainless-steel floor drain for ease of use.

The inner vessel is then surrounded by structural supports and high-performance, closed-cell insulation to retain heat, before being finished with the same elegant exterior as our single wall tubs including a handcrafted natural cedar cap-rail, an outer cedar wall in your choice of species and finish, and three recessed polished stainless-steel bands with custom turnbuckles.

The result is a timeless, all-natural soaking experience. One that rewards consistent care, invites a slower pace and offers a level of beauty and craftsmanship that few modern spas can match.

Natural tubs, while beautiful and rewarding, do have their quirks. Like a tea bag, the wood will leach tannins into the water when new, which means the water will need to be changed several times during the first few months of use. After that, under normal conditions, a water change every three to four months is typical. These tubs are at their best when used regularly and kept filled year-round. If left dry for long periods, the wood will shrink and may need time to swell back to size once refilled. Aficionados of wooden tubs know this and embrace it, it’s all part of the charm.
