Wood-Fired Hot Tubs

Timeless Simplicity – Naturally Heated

Overview

Inspired by traditional Japanese baths, our wood-fired tubs offer a deeply relaxing, off-grid soaking experience. We build round models in a range of diameters and depths, each heated by either a high-output submersible aluminum stove or, in smaller sizes, an external stainless steel Chofu Ofuro heater.  These tubs are designed to be filled with clean water, enjoyed for a few days, then emptied and refilled. Giving a simple, elemental, and deeply restorative soaking experience.

Classic Wood-Fired Experience

Round
Wood-Fired

Our round Wood-Fired tubs are designed to be shared and savored. Available in 5′, 6′, and 7′ diameters with wall heights of 3′, 3½’, or 4′, each tub includes bi-level cedar seating and is paired with a high-output submersible aluminum stove. Whether you’re gathering with friends or soaking under the stars, these tubs create an immersive experience that’s as much about connection as it’s about relaxation. The 5′ model seats up to four, the 6′ up to six, and the 7′ comfortably fits eight.

Small Footprint – Big Experience

Oval
Wood-Fired

Our oval Wood-Fired tub is perfectly suited for one or two bathers and is ideal for remote locations or sites with limited water access. Compact yet thoughtfully crafted, this tub features an external stainless steel Chofu Ofuro heater, which efficiently warms a smaller water volume while delivering the same natural soaking experience as our larger tubs. It’s a beautiful solution for those who crave simplicity, solitude, and the timeless ritual of a wood-fired bath.

Compact Depth – Classic Experience

Low Profile
Wood-Fired

Our low-profile wood-fired tub offers the same generous diameter as our larger round models but with a lower 2-foot wall height. Ideal for those seeking a more accessible, quick-to-fill soaking experience. Like our oval model, this tub uses significantly less water and is heated with an efficient external stainless-steel Chofu Ofuro stove, making it well-suited for remote settings or eco-conscious users. Though compact in depth, it still delivers the full warmth and charm of a traditional wood-fired soak.

More Than a Soak — A Ritual

Preparing for the Experience

Any successful Wood-Fired tub experience has three basic criteria:

  1. Access to an adequate supply of good clean water.
  2. A good supply of dry, properly sized firewood.
  3. The inclination to work and take enjoyment from the process.

The most important part of owning a Wood-Fired tub is having a true appreciation for the process itself. Filling the tub, tending the fire, and anticipating the soak are all part of the ritual. One that’s as rewarding as the soak that follows. Those who love their Wood-Fired tubs often find as much joy in the preparation as in the experience itself. It’s more than a method of heating water. It’s a ritual, a moment to slow down, connect, and fully immerse yourself in the experience.
